To make images and videos in ChatGPT with Wireflow, add `https://www.wireflow.ai/api/mcp` as a custom MCP server in ChatGPT on the web, choose OAuth, install it, then type `@` in a chat and select Wireflow. There is no API key to copy: you sign in with your Wireflow account. The models run on your Wireflow credits, and the finished files come back as links.

## Can ChatGPT make videos?

Yes. With Wireflow added as a custom MCP server, ChatGPT can run video models such as Seedance 2.5, [Kling Video](https://www.wireflow.ai/models/kling-video) and Wan 2.5, as well as image and audio models, within the models your Wireflow plan includes. Video models need a paid Wireflow plan; see the [pricing page](https://www.wireflow.ai/pricing) for what each plan includes.

## Can ChatGPT use MCP servers?

Yes. ChatGPT on the web can add a custom [MCP server](/docs/mcp) that uses SSE or streaming HTTP, then use it in a conversation. Wireflow's server uses Streamable HTTP with OAuth sign-in. ChatGPT shows a risk warning when you add a server, so connect only servers you trust.

## How do I add a custom connector to ChatGPT?

Follow OpenAI's steps for adding a custom MCP server, with these values:

1. In ChatGPT on the web, go to [ChatGPT Plugins](https://chatgpt.com/plugins).
2. Select the plus button, then **Add custom MCP server**.
3. Enter the name `Wireflow` and, if you like, a description.
4. Under **Connection**, enter the server URL `https://www.wireflow.ai/api/mcp`.
5. For authentication, choose **OAuth** and leave any client ID and secret fields empty. Wireflow supports Dynamic Client Registration, so ChatGPT registers itself and there is no client ID or secret to enter.
6. Review the risk warning, select **I understand and want to continue**, then select **Create as a plugin**.
7. Find the new plugin in your personal plugins, or in the workspace where you created it, and install it.
8. When ChatGPT opens the Wireflow sign-in, sign in with your Wireflow account and approve the consent screen.

## Which ChatGPT plan do I need for MCP connectors?

OpenAI's guide for adding a custom MCP server doesn't name a plan. It says to use ChatGPT on the web, and that in a workspace, the workspace's permissions and security restrictions, including Lockdown, apply to adding and using custom MCP servers. If you work in a workspace and can't add the server, ask your workspace admin.

On the Wireflow side, MCP access is on every plan, including Free, and runs use credits. Video models start on Starter. See the [pricing page](https://www.wireflow.ai/pricing) for each plan's price and monthly credits, including Free.

## How do I use the connector inside a chat?

Type `@` in the prompt box, select Wireflow, then ask for the image or video in plain words. For example:

```text
Make a square image of a glass perfume bottle on wet black stone with Seedream V4.5. Tell me the credit cost and wait for my yes before you run it.
```

```text
Make a short video of a glass perfume bottle turning slowly on wet black stone with Seedance 2.5. Tell me the credit cost and wait for my yes before you run it.
```

Seedream V4.5 is billed per image and Seedance 2.5 per run, and the pricing page shows the current rates.

ChatGPT asks you to confirm write actions by default, and it treats any tool without a read-only hint as a write action, so expect to confirm runs. Refreshing the same conversation asks for confirmation again on later turns. When a run finishes, open the links in the reply to view or download the files. The run also stays on its board in your Wireflow account, where you can rerun it.

## How does MCP let ChatGPT generate images and videos through another platform?

ChatGPT calls tools on the Wireflow server, and Wireflow runs the models in the Wireflow account you signed in with. To make a clip, ChatGPT typically finds a model with `list_models`, builds a private draft workflow, starts it with `run_workflow` and reads the result with `get_execution`. Only the run spends credits.

There is no API key in ChatGPT. You approve a consent screen, and the connection gets only the permissions listed there. A client that asks for nothing in particular gets the read and run scopes. Saving a new private draft uses `workflows:create`, a standard permission that is not opt-in. Opt-in permissions, such as `social:publish` for posting to your social accounts or `workflows:write` for editing and deleting workflows, are withheld unless the client asks for them by name. You can revoke access at any time from your Wireflow settings.

## Why does the ChatGPT connector fail with an OAuth or URL error?

Check the server URL and the authentication setting first: use exactly `https://www.wireflow.ai/api/mcp` and choose **OAuth**, because Wireflow signs you in with OAuth 2.1. Then check these points:

- You installed the plugin. ChatGPT needs it installed before you can use it in a conversation.
- You finished the Wireflow sign-in and approved the consent screen.
- In a workspace, its permissions and security restrictions, including Lockdown, can block adding or using custom MCP servers. Ask your workspace admin.
- In the chat, you typed `@` and selected Wireflow before asking.
