# Audio

**Node type:** `input:audio`
**Category:** `Helpers`

## Description

Provides a fixed audio asset (voiceover, music bed, SFX) to the rest of the workflow. Upload a file in the editor, or via the API upload media with `POST /media/upload` and set its URL in config, then wire `audio` into a Compose Video audio port or any audio consumer.

Resolution priority at run time: config URL, then wired inputs, then trigger data, then the stored upload on the node.

For voice samples, an empty Import node offers **Record audio**. Allow microphone access, record clean speech from one speaker, stop and preview, then choose **Use recording** to upload. Recording stops at 120 seconds and does not start a paid workflow run. You can also upload an existing audio file. Connect the result to Fish Voice Clone, name the voice, confirm permission, and run that node to save a reusable voice.

## Canvas ports

These appear as port handles on the left side of the node.

_No input ports._

## Sidebar config

These render as form fields in the right-side config panel when the node is selected.

| ID | Label | Details |
| ---------- | ------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `audioUrl` | **Audio URL** | `TEXT` · URL of the audio asset (`audio` and `url` config keys also work) |

## Outputs

| ID | Label | Type |
| ------- | --------- | ------- |
| `audio` | **Audio** | `AUDIO` |

The resolved URL is also exposed as `audioUrl`, `media`, and `url` so generic media consumers can read it.
