Is there a Claude Code skill for product photos and lifestyle shots?
Yes, a Wireflow skill for Claude Code turns one product photo into white-background, lifestyle, in-hand and flat lay shots, at 16 credits per scene.
Yes, Wireflow's product-photography skill turns one photo of your product into new shots of it inside Claude Code: on a clean white background, in a lifestyle setting, held in a hand, as a flat lay, outdoors or on a colored studio backdrop. It picks the scenes, writes each one so the model keeps your product's shape, colors and label, shows the credit cost and waits for your yes.
A published Wireflow app renders each scene with Nano Banana Lite, and the photos are saved to ./wireflow-outputs/. Without a Wireflow connection, the skill still gives you a photo checklist and a scene prompt pack for your product. Skill files and examples are in the skill's folder on GitHub.
How do I install the product photo skill in Claude Code?
Install the Wireflow plugin, which adds every Wireflow skill and the Wireflow connector:
/plugin marketplace add wireflowINC/skills
/plugin install wireflow-skills@wireflow
Claude Code shows the plugin's details first, so you can review it and choose its scope. Then run /mcp, choose wireflow and sign in with your Wireflow account. The skill shows up as /wireflow-skills:product-photography, and Claude also picks it up from plain requests.
To add only this skill, use the skills CLI, or copy the skills/product-photography folder into ~/.claude/skills/. Then connect Wireflow once and run /mcp to sign in, with no API key to copy.
npx skills add wireflowINC/skills --skill product-photography
claude mcp add --transport http wireflow https://www.wireflow.ai/api/mcp
What do I ask Claude to get new product shots?
Give it the photo and name the shots you want:
Here's my product photo: https://example.com/my-mug.jpg
Give me a white-background shot for Shopify, a lifestyle shot on a kitchen
counter and one held in a hand.
The photo has to be at an https:// URL. For a file on your computer, the Wireflow connector can create an upload link that works on a phone with no login. Requests like "put my product in a scene", "packshot" or "lifestyle photos of this" also start the skill.
Which scenes can it make?
It offers six scenes by default, and you cut the list down before anything renders.
| Scene | What you get |
|---|---|
| White background | Pure white seamless with a soft shadow, for a marketplace main image |
| Lifestyle | The product in its natural room or setting, in use if that makes sense |
| In hand | Held by a hand that suits the buyer, cropped at the wrist |
| Flat lay | Top-down on a textured surface with a few props that fit the brand |
| Outdoor or context | Where the product is used, such as a beach, trail, desk or gym |
| Colored backdrop | A bold single-color studio set with a hard shadow, for ads |
Each scene comes back as one image whose ratio follows your input photo, so a square photo gave 1024x1024 in the skill's recorded test. Before you use a white background shot as a marketplace main image, check that marketplace's current image rules, because the skill does not check them for you. For a full listing set with feature callouts, use the Amazon listing images skill.
How does the skill describe each scene?
Each scene is written as the setting, the surface the product stands on, the light, two or three props at most and the camera angle. A short description of your product is repeated in every scene, so the model does not reinterpret it.
This is the lifestyle scene from the skill's recorded test on 8 October 2026, which made a 1024x1024 image for 16 credits:
Lifestyle: on a wooden bedside table in a calm Scandinavian bedroom at dusk, the candle lit with a small warm flame, linen bedding and a stack of books softly out of focus behind it, warm lamp light, shallow depth of field
The before and after images are on the skill's examples page.
Will it change how my product looks?
It is built not to: the Wireflow app carries a fixed rule to keep the shape, colors, label, logo and text as photographed, and Claude compares every result with your photo. Models still drift sometimes.
In the recorded test, the candle jar's lid came out looking a little more like cork than in the input photo, and the lifestyle scene showed the candle lit with its lid still on. The skill now checks physical details like that before it runs, flags any drift it sees, and asks before a redo.
How many credits does each product shot cost?
16 credits per scene with Nano Banana Lite, as listed in the skills repo on 8 October 2026.
| Part | Credits |
|---|---|
| Photo check, scene choice, scene prompts, quote | 0 |
| Each finished scene | 16 |
| Six-scene set | 96 |
| Redo of a scene | 16, after you approve it |
Generating needs credits on your Wireflow account. The Free plan includes 0 credits each month, and paid plans start at $36 a month for 2,660 credits (pricing), which the skill's README puts at about 100 scenes.
Does the product photo skill work in Cursor, Codex or Claude Desktop?
It is built for Claude Code, and the skills CLI also installs it in Cursor, Codex and other agents that read SKILL.md. Rendering then needs that agent connected to the Wireflow MCP server, and the skill's README says Wireflow has not tested those agents itself. In Claude.ai and Claude Desktop, add https://www.wireflow.ai/api/mcp as a custom connector; saving files needs a shell, so there you get the image links instead.
Connection steps for each agent are in Use Wireflow from your agent. To make product shots on the Wireflow canvas instead, see the AI product photo generator. Every Wireflow skill is listed on the agent skills page.
