Is there a Claude Code skill that turns a product photo into a video?

Yes, a Wireflow skill for Claude Code uses your product photo as the first frame of a 6 second video with one slow move, such as an orbit, for 48 credits.

Yes, Wireflow's ecommerce-product-video skill turns one product photo into a short product video inside Claude Code. Your photo becomes the first frame, and the camera makes one slow move: an orbit, a light sweep over the material, a push-in on the label or a turntable spin.

Claude picks a move that suits the product, writes a brief that keeps the product unchanged, quotes the credits and waits for your yes. A Wireflow app renders the clip with MiniMax Hailuo 03 Max Turbo, and the MP4 is saved to ./wireflow-outputs/. Without a Wireflow connection, you still get motion briefs and a shot plan you can use in any image-to-video tool.

Skill files and examples are in the skill's folder on GitHub.

How do I install the product video skill in Claude Code?

Install the Wireflow plugin, which adds every Wireflow skill and the Wireflow connector:

/plugin marketplace add wireflowINC/skills
/plugin install wireflow-skills@wireflow

Claude Code shows the plugin's details first, so you can review it and choose its scope. Then run /mcp, choose wireflow and sign in with your Wireflow account. The skill shows up as /wireflow-skills:ecommerce-product-video, and Claude also picks it up from plain requests.

To add only this skill, use the skills CLI, or copy the skills/ecommerce-product-video folder into ~/.claude/skills/. Then connect Wireflow once and run /mcp to sign in, with no API key to copy.

npx skills add wireflowINC/skills --skill ecommerce-product-video
claude mcp add --transport http wireflow https://www.wireflow.ai/api/mcp

What do I ask Claude to animate my product photo?

Give it the photo at an https:// URL and the feel you want:

Make a product video for my Shopify page from this photo:
https://example.com/bottle-on-white.jpg. Something premium, a slow orbit.

The first frame decides the result, so start from a sharp, clean packshot with space around the product and the label readable. If you only have a cluttered phone photo, make a clean packshot first with the product photo skill or the Amazon listing images skill, then animate that. Requests like "animate my product photo", "360 spin video" or "video ad from a product image" also start the skill.

Which camera moves can it use?

One slow, controlled move per clip, picked for what you want the viewer to see.

Goal Move
Show the whole shape A slow half orbit, left to right at product height
Premium feel A light sweep: a soft highlight glides across the surface while the camera stays still
Focus on detail A slow push-in toward the label or texture
Reveal Start close on a detail, then pull back to the whole product
Turntable The product rotates slowly on a plinth while the camera stays still
In context A gentle drift past the product in its setting

The skill avoids hands appearing from nowhere, pouring liquids, fast spins and text on screen.

How long is the video, and what shape is it?

About 6.5 seconds at 768P, with an audio track the model adds. The shape follows your photo: a square photo gave a 768x768 clip in the recorded test, so start from a vertical photo for Reels and TikTok. For store pages and most ads, mute the audio or replace it with music in your editor.

In that test on 8 October 2026, a photo of a serum bottle on white and this motion brief made a 768x768 MP4 of 6.6 seconds for 48 credits:

Slow half orbit around the serum bottle from left to right at bottle height, soft studio light glides across the frosted glass, a gentle highlight travels down the dropper, background stays clean white, calm and premium.

You can watch it from the skill's examples page.

Will my product stay the same in the video?

It is built to: your photo is the first frame, the app carries a fixed rule against morphing or extra products, and if ffmpeg is installed, Claude checks a strip of frames for label, shape or color changes before handing the clip over.

In the recorded test, the bottle shape and cap stayed stable across the frames.

How many credits does a product video cost?

48 credits per clip in the recorded test. Resolution, length and quality change the cost, and Claude quotes the exact credits before it renders.

Item Credits
Motion plan, briefs, quote 0
One clip (about 6.5 s, 768P) 48 in the recorded test
A three-clip set (hero, detail, in use) About 144

A re-render costs about 48 again, and the skill asks first. Video needs credits on your Wireflow account, and new accounts get a free video; more videos need a paid plan: see pricing for the current plans and the credits each one includes.

Can I use the clip on Shopify or Amazon?

You get a standard MP4 file, but check your store's or marketplace's current video requirements, such as length, shape and file size, before you upload. The skill does not check them for you.

Does the product video skill work in Cursor, Codex or Claude Desktop?

It is built for Claude Code, and the skills CLI also installs it in Cursor, Codex and other agents that read SKILL.md. Rendering then needs that agent connected to the Wireflow MCP server, and the skill's README says Wireflow has not tested those agents itself. In Claude.ai and Claude Desktop, add https://www.wireflow.ai/api/mcp as a custom connector; saving files needs a shell, so there you get the video link instead.

Connection steps for each agent are in Use Wireflow from your agent. For other ways to make these clips, see AI tools for ecommerce product videos. Every Wireflow skill is listed on the agent skills page.

For AI agents: the full documentation index is at /llms.txt, and most docs pages are available as Markdown by adding .md to the URL.
