Meta Ads

Node type: research:meta_ads Category: Research

Description

Search the Meta Ad Library by keyword and get back the ads brands are running right now, on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Messenger and the Audience Network.

Pick the ones worth copying, and each becomes its own node holding the ad's video and its ad copy.

What the signal is (and is not)

Meta's ad library publishes no engagement stats. There are no views, likes, comments or shares in that data, and any tool showing you some for a Meta ad is guessing.

What it does publish is when the ad started. So the card leads with run duration: an ad still live after 198 days is one an advertiser has been paying for since January, which is the closest thing to a profitability signal this source has. Sort by "Longest running" to put those first.

That sort is ours, not Meta's. When you use it we scan up to 90 ads and order those, and the overlay says "longest of 90 scanned" so you know it is not a ranking of the whole library.

Filters

Filter What it does
Country Really filters the library (unlike TikTok's "Search from", which is just a proxy)
Status Active, Inactive, or any
Media Video (default), Image, Image + meme, or any
Sort Most impressions, Most recent, or Longest running
Exact phrase Match the keyword as a phrase instead of loose words

Canvas ports

No input ports. The ad is picked in the overlay and pinned to the node.

Outputs

ID Label Type
video Video VIDEO
metadata Metadata JSON
ad_copy Ad Copy TEXT

ad_copy is the ad's own body text. Wire it into an LLM node to rewrite the angle for your product, or into Content Analyzer alongside the video to get the hook and the shot list.

Cost

Free. Searching costs a daily allowance (5/day on free plans, 100/day on paid), not credits, and running the node costs 0 credits — the video was already saved to Wireflow storage when you picked the ad.

Notes

Meta serves ad videos from signed links that expire, so Wireflow copies the video to its own storage the moment you save an ad. That is why saving a batch takes a few seconds, and why the node keeps working weeks later.
