How to Animate Your Logo With AI

Step 3: Write the Motion Prompt

Image-to-video prompts describe motion, not content. The model already has your logo; it does not need you to describe what the logo looks like. A common mistake is writing "a blue circular logo with the letter W spinning" when the model can already see the blue circular logo, and the description just gives it permission to redraw the shape.

Write one sentence covering camera, subject motion, and lighting, in that order. Keep it under 30 words:

Step 4: Generate, Then Judge Frame by Frame

Run the generation and then check three specific things instead of watching the clip on loop and trusting your gut:

  • Frame one. Does it match your input exactly? If the model has already redrawn your logo in the first frame, no amount of prompt tuning will fix the rest.
  • The last frame. Drift accumulates. A wordmark that reads correctly at frame 1 often has a mangled letterform by frame 90.

Five Mistakes That Ruin Logo Animations

Can AI animate a logo with text without distorting the letters? Not reliably. Diffusion-based video models reconstruct pixels every frame, and letterforms are the first thing to degrade. The working method is to animate the icon or symbol on its own, then composite the wordmark back in as a static overlay during editing.
