Pika Labs API
Access Pika video generation models through a unified API with per-clip pricing and async job handling

We spent 10+ hours benchmarking AI models for pika labs api while building Wireflow, documenting which settings and configurations produce the best outputs. The workflow below reflects what we learned.
How Pika Labs API Works on Wireflow
Pika's official API runs through fal.ai, exposing endpoints for text-to-video, image-to-video, Pikascenes (multi-reference composition), and Pikaframes (keyframe interpolation). Wireflow wraps these into a unified workflow execution model: submit a job, poll for status, retrieve the MP4. Each clip costs a flat per-run fee instead of variable GPU-second billing, and spend limits prevent runaway costs during batch runs.
Because every video model on Wireflow shares the same REST contract, switching from Pika 2.2 to Kling 3 Pro or Veo 3.1 is a single parameter change. No endpoint migration, no payload restructuring, no credential rotation.
Pika Labs API Capabilities
Text-to-Video Generation
Generate 5-10 second video clips from text prompts at 720p or 1080p resolution with seven aspect ratio options.
Image-to-Video Conversion
Turn any still image into a motion clip by pairing it with a motion prompt for camera moves and subject animation.
Unified Multi-Model Endpoint
Access Pika, Kling, Veo, and Seedance through a single REST interface with consistent request and response schemas.
Per-Clip Billing with Spend Limits
Pay a flat rate per generated clip and set budget caps that pause execution before costs exceed your threshold.
Async Job Queue
Submit generation requests asynchronously, poll for completion status, and retrieve results when ready for production pipelines.
Pikascenes and Pikaframes
Compose scenes from multiple reference images with Pikascenes or interpolate between keyframes with Pikaframes via API.
More Than Just Pika Labs API
One API for Every Video Model
Route generation requests to Pika, Kling, or Veo through a single video generation API without managing separate credentials or payload formats.

Visual Workflow Builder
Chain image generation into Pika video output using the image-to-video workflow canvas, then export the same pipeline as API calls.

Compare Models Side by Side
Run the same prompt through Pika and Kling Video 3 in parallel to benchmark quality, speed, and cost before committing to a production model.

Built for Production Scale
Handle thousands of concurrent clips with automatic retries, webhook callbacks, and the same infrastructure powering the AI video generator consumer product.

Transparent Cost Control
Explore Runway API alternatives that charge per clip instead of per GPU second, with dashboards showing real-time spend across models.
