Why an AI agent needs an image tool
A language model predicts text, not pixels. On its own, Claude or any agent cannot render an image, which is why an image generation MCP server exists: it gives the agent a callable tool that runs a model and hands back an image URL. The Model Context Protocol is just the standard that lets the agent discover the tool, read its typed inputs, and call it.

Wireflow vs a community Midjourney MCP bridge
A community Midjourney MCP bridge has one real draw: it aims at Midjourney's exact look, which many people prefer. If that specific model is the whole point, a self-run bridge is the path, and you accept the setup, the tokens, and keeping the process alive that come with it.

When Wireflow is not the right fit
Wireflow does not host Midjourney. If only Midjourney's exact model will do and no other look is acceptable, Wireflow is not your tool, and a self-run bridge is the honest answer. Wireflow is also the generation layer, not the reasoning brain: the agent still decides what to make and judges whether the result is good, while the workflow only runs the models and returns assets.
